Structured conflict resolution for civil and commercial disagreements

Professional Negotiation & Dispute Support

As a qualified Civil and Commercial Mediator, I provide structured support for individuals in civil and business disagreements — including property disputes, financial conflicts, and breach of contract. Available locally across Hull & East Yorkshire, and online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or telephone for clients who cannot attend in person.

What this service covers

  • Objective evaluation of your position and options

  • Organisation and indexing of evidence and supporting documents

  • Mapping clear, realistic settlement strategies

  • Drafting structured, professional responses to the other party

  • Support for litigants in person in civil proceedings

  • Remote support via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, telephone, or email

How it works

1

Case Review

I review your situation and documents — in person or remotely — and give you an honest assessment of where things stand.

2

Strategy & Drafting

I help you map out a settlement strategy and draft structured, professional correspondence to move the dispute towards resolution.

3

Resolution Support

I support you through the negotiation process — keeping communications calm, structured, and focused on a practical outcome.

Every situation is different. An initial conversation costs nothing and will give you a clearer picture of your options.

Clean, indexed court bundles for litigants in person

Administrative Document Coordination

Whether you are dealing with child arrangements, a non-molestation order, divorce, or financial disclosure — the paperwork can be overwhelming. I specialise in taking chaotic emails, messages, and legal records and formatting them into professionally indexed court bundles. I also assist with Form E financial disclosure and personal position statements. Available across Hull & East Yorkshire — and fully online.

What this service covers

  • Court bundle preparation and professional indexing for family and civil proceedings

  • Form E and financial disclosure document organisation

  • Structuring and proofreading personal position statements

  • Chronology preparation and supporting summaries

  • Identification of gaps or missing documents before hearings

  • Support for litigants in person — locally in Hull & East Yorkshire or remotely

How it works

1

Document Audit

I review everything you have — in whatever state — and assess what is there, what is missing, and what needs to be organised.

2

Indexing & Formatting

Your documents are organised into a clean, professionally indexed structure with clear pagination and logical sequencing.

3

Final Bundle

You receive a complete, well-structured bundle ready for your solicitor or the court — delivered digitally or in person.

A well-organised bundle demonstrates that you are prepared and serious. In court proceedings, that impression matters.

Helping families reach agreements without going to court

Family Mediation

Family mediation is a confidential process where a trained, impartial mediator helps separating or divorcing couples — and wider family members — reach their own agreements on issues such as child arrangements, finances, and property. It is often faster, less costly, and far less damaging than contested court proceedings. Available in person across Hull & East Yorkshire, or online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

What this service covers

  • Child arrangements — where children live, contact schedules, and holidays

  • Financial and property matters following separation or divorce

  • Communication between separated parents

  • Extended family arrangements — grandparents, step-parents, and wider family

  • Parenting plans — practical, written agreements on how you will co-parent

  • Available in person across Hull & East Yorkshire, or remotely via Zoom or Microsoft Teams

How it works

1

MIAM — Mediation Information & Assessment Meeting

Before mediation begins, each party attends a confidential MIAM. This is a legal requirement before most family court applications and gives you the chance to understand whether mediation is right for your situation.

2

Joint Mediation Sessions

Both parties meet with me — in person or via Microsoft Teams — to discuss the issues openly and work towards practical, lasting agreements.

3

Parenting Plan or Memorandum of Understanding

Agreements reached in mediation are recorded in a written document. This can be taken to a solicitor to be made legally binding if required.

Mediation is voluntary and confidential. Nothing said in mediation can be used in court proceedings. I am a qualified family mediator registered with the Civil Mediation Council.

Caring arrangements for your pets when relationships end

Pet Parenting Plans

When a relationship breaks down, deciding what happens to a beloved pet can be one of the most emotionally charged and overlooked aspects of separation. As a trained mediator, I help separating couples reach calm, practical agreements about the care, residence, and welfare of their pets — reducing conflict and putting the animal's wellbeing at the centre of the process. Available in person across Hull & East Yorkshire, or online throughout England & Wales via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

What this service covers

  • Where the pet will primarily live and how time will be shared

  • Arrangements for holidays, vet appointments, and emergencies

  • Financial responsibilities — food, insurance, veterinary costs

  • Communication between both parties about the pet's welfare

  • Written pet parenting plan to record what has been agreed

  • Suitable for dogs, cats, horses, and other companion animals

How it works

1

Initial Conversation

We discuss your situation, your pet's needs, and what each of you is hoping for — in a calm, non-confrontational setting.

2

Mediation Session

Both parties work with me to explore options and reach a practical agreement that puts the pet's welfare first.

3

Written Pet Parenting Plan

The agreed arrangements are set out in a clear written plan — a practical reference document for both parties going forward.

Pets are family. A pet parenting plan gives both parties clarity and peace of mind — and keeps your animal out of the middle of a dispute.

How it works

1

2

Mediation Session

A structured session — face-to-face or via Microsoft Teams — where both parties work with me to explore the issues and reach a negotiated settlement.

3

Settlement Agreement

If agreement is reached, a written settlement document is produced. This can be made legally binding with the assistance of solicitors.
